Bitbox MK2 2.1 User Manual
Parameter Description
Sustain
The volume level that the sound
maintains when you hold a note
Release
The release specifies how long the
note will continue to play and fade out
when the note is released. In Gate
mode, the release begins when the
touch ends, the gate signal goes low,
or the MIDI note off event occurs. In
Toggle mode, the release begins
when the toggle off occurs. In Trigger
mode with sample pads the release
begins when reaching the Loop End
point in loop mode, or the Start + Len
point when not looping. In Trigger
mode for Clips and Slicers, the
release has no effect.
LFO Parameters: <New in 2.1>
Bitbox mk2 has a low frequency oscillator per pad that can be used to modulate pad
parameters in a synchronized way. You configure this on the LFO tab of the Pad
Parameters page for each pad.
Parameter Description
Waveform
Sets the shape of the wave used by
the low frequency oscillator for this
pad.
Depth
The amplitude of the oscillating wave. 0.0% to 100.0%
Rate
The frequency of the LFO from about
0.1Hz to 12 Hz. When Beat Sync is
On, this specifies the rate in beats and
measures. Set to 0.0 to stop the LFO.
Beat
Controls the behavior of the Rate
parameter. When this is ON, the
wave cycle is synchronized with the
clock.
Trig
When active, the LFO will restart each
time the pad is triggered.

Conf Pad Parameters:
Several settings that used to be controlled via buttons across the top of various pad
parameter pages can now be found on the Conf tab of the Pad Parameters page. This
is also where you can control the launch mode and MIDI mapping for the pad. The new
Poly Mode parameter found here can be used to optimize the polyphony pool allocation
across pads.
Parameter Description
Launch
This controls how a note trigger
Mode
affects the playback of a pad.
Output
The output of this pad is sent to the
output or outputs selected here. It will
always also be sent to the output
configured as the Master output, if you
have an output configured to carry the
Master output.
Pan
For Pads routed to stereo outputs, this
controls the position of the output in
the stereo channel.
Poly Mode Controls the maximum polyphony for
this pad. The note playback across all
pads draws from a recommended
maximum 24 note pool. Does not
apply to Granular pads.
If Poly X, this pad will use any
available notes in the pool beyond
what is used by other pads, up to 16
max. To avoid glitching, minimize the
use of Poly X.
Excl Group Exclusive Grouping. When Excl X is
selected, there will not be an exclusive
behavior for this pad. When a pad is
assigned to an Exclusive Group, any
other pad in this group will stop
whenever a pad in the group is
triggered.
