Operational Notes

Please note the following about the BayStack 820 ISDN Router:
You cannot assign to the router a public IP address that starts with
192.168.x.x.
When you connect directly to the router through the console port to use the
CLI, the console speed is set to a default baud rate of 19200 b/s. To change the
baud rate, use the
System Commands section in Chapter 10 of Installation and Reference for the
BayStack 820 ISDN Router.
Use the Directory Number fields to configure Multiple Subscriber Numbering
(MSN) phone numbers for your ISDN connection. You must enter the full
ISDN subscriber number and should configure only those MSN numbers to
be used by the router.
Table 1 provides additional technical specifications for the router.
