Component Access / Removal
Evaporator Fan Cover Removal
There are two access holes in an evaporator fan cover,
through which pass screws. These screws also pass
through slots in the back flanges of the fan cover, and
through holes in the evaporator cover, into screw grom-
mets at the back wall, securing all in place.
To remove an evaporator fan cover, extract the two
mounting screws from the access holes and pull the fan
cover forward.

Wine Storage Evaporator Cover Removal
(Model ICB427 & ICB427R)
Wine storage evaporator covers are held in place with
four screws, two at the evaporator fan covers and two
towards the bottom of the evaporator covers. A flange
on the side of the evaporator covers hooks behind the
false wall in each compartment.
To remove the wine storage evaporator covers, first
remove the evaporator fan cover, then
(See Figure 6-42):
1. Extract screws towards bottom of evaporator cover.
2. Pull side of evaporator cover farthest from false wall
forward slightly.
3. Push thermistor electrical leads and rubber grom-
met from slot in evaporator cover.
4. Locate ground wire riveted to back of evaporator
cover, then extract grounding screw.
5. Continue pulling side of evaporator cover farthest
from false wall out until flange clears false wall.
Wine Storage Compartment and Evaporator
Thermistor Removal (Model ICB427 & ICB427R)
Wine compartment thermistors are attached to the side
walls with screws
(See Figure 6-43).
mistors are inserted into the fins of the evaporator.
To remove a compartment or evaporator thermistor, first
remove the wine racks evaporator fan cover and evapo-
rator cover, then:
1. Extract thermistor mounting screw (if applicable).
2. Cut thermistor's wire leads six (6) to twelve (12)
inches from the back wall, then pull thermistor from
compartment.
