37. Remove the prism core assembly. (Refer to "Prism core assembly" in Section 1-5-20.)
38. Insert the beard nozzle into the syringe, then cut the tip of beard nozzle using the cutter.

Cut it to the appropriate length so that the adequate amount of RTV rubber can be applied.
39. Remove the piston from the syringe and pour the RTV rubber into the syringe.
40. Insert the piston back into the syringe and remove the air.
41. Adhere the optical compensators (3 portions) with the RTV rubber.

. When applying the RTV rubber, be careful not to apply it outside of the range A of the adjusting
knob portion of the optical compensator holder.
. Do not touch the optical compensator holder after applying the RTV rubber.
. If you have touched the optical compensator holder in the middle of applying the RTV rubber, the
adjusted angle of the optical compensator may be displaced. Therefore, perform the adjustment
(steps 18 to 36) again.
. Leave the RTV rubber for more than 30 minutes after it is applied. Check that the surface of the
RTV rubber is cured, and then assemble the prism core assembly.
Apply the RTV rubber.

42. Attach the prism core assembly, then assemble this unit. (Refer to steps 2 to 15.)
