16. Remove the adhesive or RTV rubber (3 portions) that fixes the optical compensator using the cutter.

. Use the cutter towards the outside to prevent the removed adhesive or RTV rubber from entering
inside of the panel assembly.
. If the adhesive or RTV rubber enters inside of the panel assembly, a luminescent spot problem in
the full black display, etc. may occur.
. Clean the area where the adhesive or RTV rubber was removed with the alcohol and cotton swab.
. In order to adjust the angle of the optical compensator, check the position of the adjusting knob por-
tion of the optical compensator holder.
17. Check if the adjusting knob portion of the optical compensator holder moves smoothly. If it does not
move smoothly, repeat step 16.

. If the adjusting knob portion of the optical compensator holder does not move smoothly, fine
adjustment of the angle cannot be performed.
. In order to adjust the angle in step 34 in this section, return the adjusting knob portion of the optical
compensator holder to the position where it was secured.
