Testing STOP cams
To test the STOP cam function, you must approach the STOP cam with the axis in the position-
controlled mode - e.g. using the "Jog" function or using the control panel in Startdrive.
6.3.2

Traversing beyond a STOP cam

Traverse the axis in the position-controlled mode
To traverse the axis past a STOP cam, for example to carry out maintenance work, we
recommend the following procedure:
1. Deactivate the appropriate STOP cam.
2. Traverse the axis past the STOP cam in the position-controlled mode.
NOTICE
Damage to the machine when passing a STOP cam
The machine can be damaged when a STOP cam is passed.
• Monitor axis motion, and manually stop the axis in plenty of time, e.g. by issuing an
Speed controlled operation of the axis
The following happens if you pass the STOP cam with the axis in the speed-controlled mode:
1. When the STOP cam is reached for the first time, the converter stops the axis.
2. The converter signals fault F07491 or F07492.
After the fault has been acknowledged, the speed-controlled axis can be traversed past the STOP
cam in the same direction.
