WIRELESS (NB9W ONLY)

Wireless Setup

The NB9W serves as an 802.11g Wireless Access Point, with enhanced capabilities provided by Broadcom's
TM
XPress
technology. The fi rst screen in the Wireless menus is as follows:

Check Enable Wireless to turn on wireless transmission
If this is checked, wireless clients will need to know the SSID (=wireless network
name) if they wish to join the network. If Hide Access point is unchecked, the
SSID will be broadcast to any wireless client in range
'Station Set Identifi er', or network name; replace with name of your choice. All
stations must be confi gured with the correct SSID to access the WLAN. If the
SSID does not match, the wireless client will not be able to join the network.
Min one character, max 32.
The BSSID is a 48-bit identity used to identify a particular BSS (Basic Service
Set) within an area. In Infrastructure BSS networks, the BSSID is the MAC
(Media Access Control) address of the AP (Access Point) and in Independent
BSS or ad-hoc networks, the BSSID is generated randomly.
Defaults to Australia
