Setting up VoIP on the NB9 / NB9W
The following Document outlines how to configure VoIP settings for your NB9 / NB9W series Modem/Router
with a VoIP account. This will let you make VoIP phone calls through your NB9 / NB9W.
Before you begin, you are required to obtain ALL relevant VoIP account information from your VoIP
Provider, which often includes the VoIP Username (this can often be your VoIP phone number), Password,
SIP Proxy server, and other settings.
For example, we are using the below VoIP settings:
=================================================
Username/ VoIP Phone Number:
Password:
SIP Proxy:
Register Expire Time:
=================================================
In this example, our VoIP provider is Engin, and we have obtained our VoIP Phone Number, Password, SIP
Proxy server, and recommended Register Expire Time.
Note: Before you continue, please ensure your NB9 / NB9W has been configured and you are
able to access the Internet.
1. Logon to the web-based interface of your NB9 / NB9W Modem/Router, which by default is
http://192.168.1.1 (if a Login prompt appears, the Username and Password is "admin" without the
quotes).
2. From the side menu click on "Voice", and then "SIP".
3. Change the settings as follows:
Interface name:

Priority Codec/Ptime:

If the status is "Trying to Register the SIP Proxy", and stays like that for extended periods of time,
you may have incorrectly entered some of your VoIP settings.
If the status is "Register to the SIP Proxy Succeed", then your VoIP account has been successfully
setup, and you should be able to make a call through VoIP.
