5.1 INTRODUCTION

The DVT2000 may be controlled from the front panel, or from a remote terminal. This section
describes front panel controls.
5.2 FRONT PANEL CONTROLS
The FUNCTION keypad, MAIN keypad and LCD screen comprise the Front Panel controls.

5.2.1 Function Keypad

The FUNCTION keypad, shown in Figure 8, selects the operation you wish to perform.
It provides four options:
• MENU - displays the MAIN Setup menu
• RESET - reboots and restarts the software to the last setting. Note: you must press reset
before you make any changes to the system except for the modulator functions of IF
frequency, TX power, modulation, output on/off or RS code.
• LOCK - Locks settings that have been entered so they cannot be changed. You must
push LOCK again to make any changes.
