4.5.4 User ASYNC Data Input

A DB9 female connector is provided on the rear panel for user data input of 19.2 kbps or 38.4
kbps. The port is an RS-232 DCE and is wired the same as the control port as shown in Table 7.

4.5.5 Data Output

A DB37 female connector is provided on the rear panel for output of the encoded MPEG data.
The wiring for this connector is shown in Table 8.

4.6 INITIAL START-UP PROCEDURE

When power is applied initially to the DVT2000, default parameters for transmission rates are
loaded. The LCD displays the top level SETUP menu, as shown in Figure 7. The Default
parameters are shown on page 13.
After approximately one minute, the unit automatically starts with these parameters.
If you wish to enter other transmission parameters, you must access the Transmission Plan menu.
Refer to Section 5 for instructions on how to set new transmission parameters, which are shown
on page 13.
