The list of printers appears on the left of the window.
3. Under the list of printers, click the plus button (+ + ).
4. At the top of the window, click the D D e e f f a a u u l l t t icon.
5. Select your printer from the list, then click A A d d d d .
Adding the Printer by Specifying the IP Address
To add the printer by specifying the IP address:
1. From the computer Applications folder or from the dock, open S S y y s s t t e e m m P P r r e e f f e e r r e e n n c c e e s s .
2. Click P P r r i i n n t t e e r r s s & & S S c c a a n n n n e e r r s s .
The list of printers appears on the left of the window.
3. Under the list of printers, click the Plus icon (+ + ).
4. Click I I P P .
5. From the Protocol list, select the protocol.
6. In the Address field, enter the IP address of the printer.
7. In the Name field, enter a name for the printer.
8. From the Use list, choose S S e e l l e e c c t t a a d d r r i i v v e e r r t t o o u u s s e e .
9. From the printer software list, select the print driver for your printer model.
10. Click A A d d d d .

across a network. WSD supports device discovery, control, and use.
To install a WSD printer using the Add Device Wizard
1. At your computer, click S S t t a a r r t t , then select D D e e v v i i c c e e s s a a n n d d P P r r i i n n t t e e r r s s .
2. To launch the Add Device Wizard, click A A d d d d a a D D e e v v i i c c e e .
3. In the list of available devices, select the one you want to use, then click N N e e x x t t .
Note: If the printer you want to use does not appear in the list, click the C C a a n n c c e e l l button. Add the WSD
printer manually using the Add Printer Wizard.
4. Click C C l l o o s s e e .
