RET650 setting examples
3.1.1
Calculating general settings for analogue inputs 8I 2U
The analogue input has the capability of 8 current inputs (1 A) and 2 voltage inputs.
The 145 kV current CTs (three phase current transformer group) are connected to inputs 1 – 3
(L1, L2, L3).
The 22 kV current CTs (three phase current transformer group) are connected to inputs 4 – 6
(L1, L2, L3).
The 145 kV neutral point CT is connected to input 7 (IN).
The input 8 is not used. The input is used for connection of low voltage side CT (not in this
application)
The 22 kV phase-to-phase (L1 – L2) VT is connected to input 9.
The 22 kV open delta connected VT (residual voltage) is connected to input 10.

Only settings that need adjustment due to the specific application are
described in setting examples. It is recommended to keep the default values
for all settings that are not described. Refer to Technical manual for setting
tables for each protection and control function.
Refer to setting guideline section in Application manual for guidelines on how
to set functions that are not presented in setting examples.
Use parameter setting tool in PCM600 to set the IED according to calculations
for the particular application.
