Passenger Seat

Warning
The rider's seat is only correctly
retained and supported once the
passenger seat is correctly installed.
Never ride the motorcycle with the
passenger seat detached or removed,
as the rider's seat will not be secure
and may move.
A loose or detached seat may cause
loss of motorcycle control and an
accident.
Warning
To prevent detachment of the seat
during riding, after installation always
grasp
the
seat
upwards.
If the seat is not correctly secured in
the lock, it will detach from the lock.

The passenger seat must be removed
before the rider's seat can be removed.
There
is
also
compartment
located
passenger seat, see page 102.
and
pull
firmly

small
storage
beneath
the
GENERAL INFORMATION
Passenger Seat Removal
To remove the passenger seat:
▼ Insert the ignition key into the seat
lock, see page 96.
▼ Turn
the
counterclockwise
down on the rear of the seat. This
will release the seat from its lock and
allow it to be slid rearwards.
▼ If equipped with heated seats, rotate
the passenger seat and rest it on the
rider's seat. Disconnect the heated
seat's electrical connector.
▼ Remove
the
motorcycle.
