• Handle position when cooking: position pans so that handles are not
over other hot burners and do not allow handles to extend beyond the edge
of the stove where they can be knocked off.
• Attention: Metal connection that joins the cookware handle to the body of
the pan will become hot during use. Be sure to hold the cookware on the
stay-cool phenolic textured portion of the handle. We recommend using dry
oven mitts or cold potholders when holding or moving the cookware.
COOKING.
Cook on a burner that is similar in base diameter to the cookware you have
selected.
• When cooking on a gas stove, adjust the flame so it does not flare up the
sides of the cookware.
• Use of a lid when cooking considerably reduces energy consumption.
• Use your cookware at low to medium settings. High heat can damage the
cookware finish – high heat settings are only suggested for boiling water.
• We recommend using oil or butter when cooking. Remember, some oils and
fats burn at lower temperatures. Use oils and fats that have a high smoke
point. If cooking with oil, add room temperature oil to preheated cookware
• Do not use any type of oil sprays, including aerosols, mist and pump sprays.
These sprays can cause residue build-up that is difficult to remove from all
types of cookware.
• Do not use extra virgin olive oil as it cannot withstand high heating and is
not suitable for frying. It will leave a thin carbonized layer on your non-stick
that is difficult to clean.
• Do not rush the preheating process by using high heat.
• Allow the oil/butter to heat up in the cookware before adding food.

• Wear and tear of your cookware and its ceramic non-stick coating is
normal. Over time there is a natural reduction of your pan's non-stick
properties. This process is accelerated by prolonged exposure of the
non-stick surface to high heat, which causes carbonization of food and oil.
• Never use metal utensils on any non-stick surface. Plastic, rubber or
wooden utensils are recommended to protect your cookware's non-stick
finish.
• Do not cut inside the cookware.
• When using halogen, ceramic and induction hobs, ensure that your
hob and cookware are free from debris so as not to scratch the hob's
surface.
• Never shuffle or drag pans across the stove top during cooking as this
may cause scratching. Always lift the pan.
CARING FOR YOUR COOKWARE.
Cleaning cookware
• Allow cookware to air cool, and clean thoroughly after every use.
• Do not put hot cookware under cold water. Allow the cookware to cool
completely.
• Do not gouge the non-stick coating.
• Do not soak your cookware for long periods of time.
• Always ensure the cookware is clean before storing.
• This KitchenAid cookware is dishwasher safe. For best results in
the dishwasher, use the manufacturer's recommended dishwasher
detergents and cycles. To extend the life of non-stick cookware, hand
washing with hot, soapy water is recommended.
• Use a sponge or dishcloth when hand cleaning cookware; do not use
oven cleaners, harsh detergents, chlorine bleach, steel wool or nylon
scrubbing pads. Hand dry with a soft towel.
