Remove the cap from the control shaft

Use the nut (5/16 inch) to secure the lever to the
control shaft

Torque the nut to 19 to 24 N∙m (14 to 18 ft-lb).

Adjust the traction cable to maintain a proper gap
distance between the friction disc and the pressure
plate; refer to the controls system maintenance
section of your machine Operator's Manual.

Installing the Control Cover

Procedure
Refer to the illustrations in
Cover (page 2)
for this procedure.
1.
Use the previously-removed screws to install
the control cover.
2.
Connect the wire-harness connector to the hour
meter.
