General description

The capacitive sensors, our abbreviation KAS, generate a capacitive field
within the area of the active surface.
This sensor can be used for leakage detection.
It has 2 outputs:
Output A1 = Control of the positioning of the sensor
Output A2 = Leakage detection
The sensor adjusts automatically when it is placed on the bottom of the
container. If a leak is detected or the installation position is changed, a
signal change is made via output A1 or A2. The sensor can be operated
directly by electronic circuits or PLC controls.
Montage
The sensor is placed on the bottom
of a container. A holder can be used
for further fixation. There are holders
that increase the footprint of the
sensor or holders that can be fixed
to the bottom of the container with
screws. You will find these holders
in our range of accessories.

Electrical connection

3-wire sensors with binary output can be used in series or parallel connection, similar to mechanical
contacts. The type-typical voltage drop and the residual voltage U
with the number of sensors for series connection, must be noted. In the case of parallel connection of
sensors with FET-output, the first switched output takes over the total load current.
