In addition to the recommendations given in this manual, legislation on work safety and accident prevention must also be respected.

17. Drive speed must be adapted to ground conditions as well as roads and paths. Always avoid abrupt changes of direction. 18. Precision steering, tractor adherence, road holding and efficient braking are influenced by the type of implement, weight, ballast of front axle, ground or road conditions. It is therefore of utmost importance to be cautious in every given situation.

POWER TAKE-OFF 1. Use only the PTO shaft supplied with the machine or recommended by the manufacturer. 2. PTO guards must always be in place and in good condition. 3. Check for correct PTO overlap when at work and in transport. 4.

They are intented for your personal safety and for the safety of the people working with you. The text shown on them gives their precise meaning. Keep the pictorials clean. Replace them when they are faded.

GUARDS 1) Front safety guards (photo 1) The safety guards increase the safety of the machine. The front guards consist of 2 telescopic elements, one fixed (A) and the other sliding (B). The guard’s sliding part (B) may have to be adjusted to adapt the machine to the tractor 3-point lift category.
FITTING TO THE TRACTOR 1) The EL 92 with a working width of 180 has 2 lower attachment yokes adjustable in span. The attachment is made by sliding the lower hitch pin yokes (A) on the front tube (T) (photo 5). Then tighten bolts (E) on hitch pin yokes (A) to 21 daNm / 155 ft.lbs...

P.T.O. DRIVE SHAFT Make sure the EL 92 is resting on the ground and is maintained in a stable position. Clean and lubricate the gearbox input shaft and slide the mating PTO shaft yoke in place. Before attaching the PTO shaft to the slip clutch flange, it is essential that both mating surfaces are thoroughly cleaned.

A hook (C) is supplied with the machine to support the PTO shaft (T) when disconnected to avoid damage or deterioration due to contact with the ground (photo 12). To avoid accidents which could be serious, make sure that the guards are always correctly in place and secured with the safety chains.
FRICTION SLIP CLUTCH The EL 92 is factory equipped with an adjustable friction slip clutch. Spring pressure is factory pre-set (L = 32 mm / 1 1/4") for 70 kW (95 hp) tractors at 540 rpm (min ) PTO (photo 13).
ROTOR SPEEDS (ROTATIONAL FREQUENCIES) The EL 92 is fitted with a speed gearbox which adapt the rotor speed (rotational frequency) to the working conditions. To change the PTO speed (rotational frequency) invert or replace the sets of matching gearwheels located at the rear of the gearbox.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE REAR HOOD The rear hood unit consists of : - a hood (Q) adjustable by means of lever (H), an adjusting plate (I) and a lock pin (J) (photo 16), - a removable extension (R) (photo 16). To facilitate manoeuvres, hood (Q) is fitted with han- dles (P) (photo 16).

COMPLETION EQUIPMENT The EL 92 may be equipped with the following working depth control equipment : - either a pair of skids + parking stand, - or a pair of wheels. Furthermore the EL 92 models 205 - 230 can be equipped with a roller.

A) PACKER ROLLER : 2.05 m - Kit no. 121 7050 2.30 m - Kit no. 121 7060 This roller is particularly intended for use in wet or sticky soils. Efficient packing, proper levelling and good crumbling are always achieved. Mud scrapers are an integral part of the packer roller. These scrapers, placed between the rows of studs, ensure that the roller is cleaned.

b) Adjusting scraper plates - Slightly loosen fixing bolts (V) of the scrapers (P) so that they slide freely (photo 27, page 24). - Check that their position is central relative to the rows of roller teeth. The scraper supports have elongated holes to allow readjustment if necessary.

B) CRUMBLER ROLLER : 2.05 m - Kit no. 123 6510 2.30 m - Kit no. 123 6500 The crumbler roller is ideal for dry and slightly humid conditions. It is made up of fixed welded tubes (F) and removable bars (G), held in place by round support rings (photo 28).
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT 1) SIDE SEPARATING DISCS (photo 30) Kit no. 120 6250 These discs improve soil movement towards the rotor and thus achieve a better definition between worked and unworked land. The side separating discs also help to stabilize the machine during surface work. Fit the side separating discs (D) to the cross bar (T) with 4 bolts (V).
2) TRACK ERADICATORS Kit no. 120 6550 To erase tractor wheel tracks, track eradicators, available as optional equipment, can be fitted to cross tubes (T) (photos 31 and 32). These can be fitted in different ways, with or without secondary supports (R'), depending on the type of tractor and the tire size.
519 215 00 : left L-blade part no. 519 216 00 : right L-blade The EL 92 are supplied with a rotor with C-blades. L-blades are available through service parts department and can be fitted in replacement of C-blades.
Part no. 120 9260 for the 205 - 230 models On EL 92 model 180, Kit No. 120 9240 (photo 36) should be mounted as follows : - Attach warning board holder (A) to lug (P) (photo 34) with 2 hexagon bolts (H) (M12 x 18) (photo 35). Torque to 10 daNm / 75 ft.lbs.

On EL 92 models 205 - 230, Kit No. 120 9260 should be mounted as follows : - Fix the 4 supports (A) and (B) in the holes (F) of the right and left side plates using 4 bolts (S) (M 16 x 35) (torque to 16 daNm / 118 ft.lbs) (see photos 37 and 38).
MAINTENANCE Before carrying out any operation such as maintenance or adjustment on the machine, stop the tractor engine, remove ignition key and wait for the rotors to stop before leaving the tractor. 1) LUBRICATION .
