5. Adjusting the screen

If experiencing screen distortions and you have made sure that they are not caused
because of the incorrect cable installation or sync-on-green jumper settings for the PC
video card. Or if you need to adjust the screen's height and width for your Hitachi HM-
4419D monitor, please locate the adjustment buttons as shown below, at the lower
end portion of the monitor's back panel (underneath the BNC connectors) and adjust
them according to the following instructions:

Please notice that to adjust the controls, you'll need to use a small Philips
screwdriver.
WARNING: The adjustment controls are very delicate and may break, if excessive
force is used. Please use extreme caution when turning the controls, as a broken
control may disable your monitor and requires the unit to be sent back to repair shop
for necessary repairs.

This process will effect all resolutions and also Horizontal Positioning.
HEIGHT or Vertical size adjustment control:
This is your vertical height adjustment. You need to center the
screen vertically first to get this correct. In some cases the
companion video card will show a bigger size for 640x480 and
V-CENT or Vertical center adjustment control:
This control will move the screen up or down (vertical center). In
some cases the companion video card will show a bigger size for
640x480 and 1280x1024 resolutions than the 1024x768. In this
H-HOLD or Horizontal frequency (kHz) adjustment control:
This needs to be adjusted if you get a scramble picture. Scramble
picture indicates a wrong Horizontal frequency is getting to the
monitor. Turn this control very slowly until you get a stable picture.
