A competent person is:
A person who, as a result of his training and experience in the field of personal
protective equipment in the realm of fall protection has acquired enough knowledge
of the governmental and local laws that apply to safety as well as the standards
(e.g. EN standards), which therefore means that he is capable and authorized to
evaluate the condition of fall protection products and systems and judge whether
they are suitable or not.
D5.If the anchoring is not used, store it in a clean, dry and well-ventilated place,
protected from fumes, corrosive agents and adverse environmental effects.

D6. Periodic inspection to check the equipment's effectiveness and resistance is
essential to ensure the user's safety. The equipment must be inspected at least
once a year by a qualified person and in strict compliance with the manufacturer's

sticker on the product (see Fig.D2)
