WARNING:

The product does not start.
The cutting blade rotates at idle
speed.
The cutting blade does not rotate
when the operator throttles up.
The product has no power when the
operator tries to throttle up.

Troubleshooting

Make sure that the engine
Cause
The start procedure is done incor-
rectly.
The stop switch in the right (STOP)
position.
There is no fuel in the fuel tank.
The spark plug is defective.
The clutch is defective.
The idle speed is too high.
The clutch is defective.
The belt is too loose or defective.
The clutch is defective.
The cutting blade is installed incor-
rectly.
The air filter is clogged.
The fuel filter is clogged.
The fuel tank flow is blocked.
3. Loosen the 2 screws on the air filter pulley and
remove it.
4. Remove the air filter.
5. Install the new air filter.
6. Replace the air filter pulley.
7. Tighten the 2 screws.
8. Replace the air filter cover.
9. Tighten the 3 screws.
STOP position before maintenance and
troubleshooting, unless the instructions tell
you differently.
Possible solutions

the product with a warm engine on
page 56 .
Make sure that the stop switch
(STOP) is in the left position.
Fill with fuel.
Replace the spark plug.
Speak to your service agent.
Adjust the idle speed.
Speak to your service agent.
Tighten the belt or replace the belt
with a new one.
Speak to your service agent.
Make sure that the cutting blade is
correctly installed.
Examine the air filter. If it is necessa-
ry, replace it.
Replace the fuel filter.
Speak to your service agent.
