Battery Care Mode
Enabling this feature, you can extend the overall life span of your phone's battery by preventing
it from being charged above 85% of capacity.
► From the Support & services screen, select Battery care > On.
Important: If the battery is frequently charged when it is nearly full, it will wear out faster,
reducing its cycle life. Battery cycle life is significantly increased when it is only
charged to 85%. When Battery Care Mode is "On", the phone will limit its fully
charged state to 85%. When Battery Care Mode is "Off", the phone will charge the
battery to 100%. Note that when Battery Care Mode is "On", it reduces your
talk/standby time. Battery Care Mode is recommended to extend the battery cycle
life if you have no problem with the battery lasting throughout the day or you
usually connect your phone to a charger.
Note: When Battery Care Mode is On, a battery icon accompanied by a heart
the Status bar. When this icon is displayed, it indicates that the battery is considered
fully (100%) charged when it reaches 85% of capacity.
