1. From the Security screen, select Device admin apps.
2. Select an application you want to manage.
3. Read the on-screen information, highlight Activate/Deactivate this device admin app,
and then press the Center soft key
Encrypt your data
Your phone is encrypted by default. To encrypt the data on the SD card installed in your phone,
follow the steps below. You need to enter the PIN or password for the screen lock for this
operation. See
Screen lock type
Warning: Do not use the phone or remove the SD card during the encryption and decryption
processes as some or all of your data will be lost.
To encrypt the data on your SD card:
1. Charge the battery first. If the phone does not have sufficient battery charge, the
encryption process cannot be initiated.
2. With your phone connected to a power source, from the Security screen, select
Encryption & credentials > Encrypt SD card.
3. Read the message and press the Right soft key
4. Enter the PIN or password and press the Center soft key
5. Read the message and press the Center soft key
process starts.
To decrypt the data on your SD card:
1. Charge the battery first. If the phone does not have sufficient battery charge, the
decryption process cannot be initiated.
