Verify that all cables are routed correctly and are not restricting other components or being pinched

Power up the compute module or server, if necessary.

Update the firmware and drivers for the controller or adapter and the server or appliance.

Updating firmware

Compute module or server and controller firmware should be updated before using the controller for the
first time, unless any installed software or components require an older version.
