KCS SWITCH: Selects between three mid boost frequencies - 0.8, 1.0 or 1.3 Kilocycles per second (the old name for Kilohertz). The choice of different frequencies allows the M-EQ DRIVER to accurately boost the desired part of a guitar’s signal, which can vary with different instruments. This can help to fatten up single coil pickups, add presence to darker guitars or create over-the-top, mid-rich drive tones.
