The purpose of these beacons is to aid SAR teams in tracking and locating the beacon’s transmissions as rapidly as possible.

The frequency must be within the tolerance specified in Table 3 Electrical Specifications. NOTE: The exact 406 MHz frequency is printed on the ELT product label.

Current Draw Test – Item 5f CAUTION: EXERCISE EXTREME CAUTION TO AVOID A SHORT CIRCUIT CONDITION OF THE BATTERY PACK CONNECTIONS. THIS WILL AFFECT BATTERY PACK AND MAIN BOARD, FORCING REPLACEMENT.

Align the antenna of the handheld programmer/tester with the antenna of the UUT.
