The button lamp will illuminate red and 'R' will be displayed,
in red, in the GPID. Additionally, an audible warning will
sound.
Release the brake pedal. Press the accelerator to move off in
reverse.
Deselection of Reverse
Bring the vehicle to a halt. Either select a new gear position
from the PRND buttons or pull back on both shift paddles to
select 'N'.

The manual
transmission
features a six
speed gearbox.
Gearshifts
Press the clutch
pedal, move the
gear lever to the
required gear
position then
slowly raise the clutch pedal.
Reverse gear is selected by overcoming spring resistance.
A red 'R' will show when the transmission is in
reverse.
To inform the driver that the current gear has reached it's
upper rev. limit the GPID will indicate revs increasing.
For the first 1243 mile (2000 km) and when ever the engine
temperature is below 104°F (40°C) the shift control will
indicate early shift changes to protect the engine.
