Sensor pocket (8) (fig.10)
• Screw the pocket and its hexagon bushing (7) in the front
section's 2" upper tapping, in a leak-tight manner.
Sludge flushing
(fig.10, bottom tapping 2")
• A 2" tapping is provided at the bottom of the front section for
fitting a flushing valve enabling the removal of sludge in the
system.
• A pre-cut space in the casing's lower panel allows for passing
the pipe.
• Tapping cap provided.
Drain valve (16, fig. 11)
• Mount a drain valve tightly (not provided) in the system or in
the lower part of the rear section (2" lower tapping "d" fig.1
page 15) using a hexagon bushing (not provided).
• A 3/4" drain valve (16) is delivered with the "Flow and Return
manifold" option
(15, fig.11).
Welding flange (12, fig. 11)
• Weld the flanges to the system's pipework and then fasten them
onto the boiler using gasket (13) with 4 HM bolts and washers.
• If the "Flow and Return manifold" option
installed, the manifolds will have to be assembled first. Then
fasten the flanges (12) onto the manifolds.
Connection manifolds (Optional Accessory) (15, fig. 11)
The manifolds move the main heating circuit connection outside
the casing. They are provided with threaded orifices for fitting
the following accessories:
- On Ø1/2" flow and return: pockets (17).
- On Ø3/4" flow: drain or safety accessories (not provided).
- On Ø3/4" return: drain valve (16).
Smoke box (19 - 19a, fig.12)
• Screw the shorter threaded part of the 4 studs M8 x 40 at the
top of the rear section.
• Check that the braid seal (21) is in place.
• Engage the smoke box on the studs and fasten it using 4 HM 8
nuts and washers by tightening the nuts slightly and
simultaneously.
• The inspection and cleanout covers (20) and (20a) are delivered
factory-fitted on the smoke box.
Stack• Connect the boiler to the stack in the most direct
possible manner. Ensure the leaktightness of this joint.
22
(15, fig.11) has been
Mount the manifolds (15) on the boiler's flow and return tappings,
positioning the threaded orifice Ø1/2" towards the boiler body,
placed on top for flow and on the side for return.
NOTE: For boilers fitted with a water distributor (14) on the return,
the distributor must penetrate as far as possible in the boiler
body return tapping.
Its fixing flange will be interposed between two gaskets (13),
between the return manifold and the rear section.
The heating circuit's connecting flanges (12) should be welded
to the water circuit pipes before fastening them onto the boiler.
