4. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
There should be an
air intake somewhere
inside
the
cabinet
to
allow
air
flow freely in. In this
example, a base vent is
shown underneath the
refrigerator.
A cut-out should be
made
in
the
base
beneath the fridge/
freezer
and
finished neatly around
the air vent grille.
Alternatively, a thin
section of the base can
be removed to allow
air into the unit (the
recommended size is
600 mm x 10 mm).
The clearance at the rear of the appliance is
clearly shown. In order for the appliance to operate
properly, it is important that the top of the housing
cabinet not be blocked off. A channel depth of
40-50 mm is normal for most units.
A ventilation hole is required in the base of the
cabinet; this allows for air to be drawn over the
compressor and for heat exchange.
As a rule, the more air can get in and out, the
better and more efficiently the product operates.
