Installing adapters
Adapter cover
You need a number 2 Phillips screwdriver to install the
adapter.
If you need to remove an adapter first, see "Removing an
adapter" on page 26.

Follow the steps for "Removing the rear cover and
EMI shield" on page 7 if the rear cover is still
installed.

Before installing an adapter, remove the adapter
cover covering the opening for the option slot you
are going to use.

Remove the screw on each end of the adapter
cover.
Save the screws. You will need them to secure the
adapter to the connector bracket.

Remove the plate.
Save the adapter cover so you can reinstall it if
you remove the adapter.

Unpack the adapter.
Save the packing materials.
