Aligning cartridges using a computer

Load plain paper.

Double-click the Lexmark Solution Center icon on your desktop to
open the Lexmark Solution Center. Click Print Cartridges
Cartridges.

To align the cartridges automatically, select Automatic Alignment, and
then click Next. An alignment page prints.
To change the automatic alignment settings and align the cartridges
manually, select Manual Alignment, and then click Next.
An alignment test page prints and the Align Cartridges dialog box
displays. The test page that prints has several alignment patterns,
depending on which cartridges are installed. Each pattern has a
number under it. The printed test page is similar to the one shown:

Select the darkest arrow in each row. For example, in alignment
group A, arrow number 3 is the darkest arrow.

In the Align Cartridges dialog box, enter the arrow numbers you
have selected.
