When you load paper into the manual feed slot:
Load one...
Envelope
Greeting card, index
card, or postcard
Transparency
Iron-on transfer

Load the paper

Turn the printer so the left side is facing you.

Insert the paper against the right edge of the manual feed slot.
The printer will detect the paper and pull it into the printer. This may
take two to three seconds.
Note: Make sure you load paper into the manual feed slot before

• The print side is facing up.
• The envelope rests against the right edge of the
manual feed slot.
• The print side is facing up.
• The rough side is facing up.
• To remove each transparency as it exits the printer and
let it dry before stacking.
• The print side is facing up. Read the instructions on the
iron-on transfer packaging to determine the print side.
• To print your document on plain paper before printing it
on an iron-on transfer.
