Note: If your vehicle does not have this tire
size, you can purchase alternative wheels
that permit the use of snow chains or cables.
If you use snow chains or cables, do the
following:
Avoid fully loading your vehicle.
Only use recommended tire pressures
listed on the tire information label. See
Tire Pressures (page 186).
Only use SAE Class S snow chains or
cables of 12 mm (0.5 in) or smaller in
dimension when measured on the
sidewall of the tire.
Only use snow chains or cables on the
front wheels. Make sure they are
securely fitted.
Only use manually adjustable snow
chains or cables. Do not use self
tensioning snow chains or cables.
Only use snow chains or cables in pairs.
Make sure they do not touch any wiring,
brake lines or fuel lines.
Only use snow chains or cables from a
manufacturer that clearly labels the
body to tire dimension restrictions.
Alternative Wheels for Snow Chain
or Cable Use
Alternative wheels that permit the use of
snow chains or cables are available to
purchase from an authorized dealer as part
of a special snow chain use wheel kit.
If your vehicle has any of the following tire
sizes, you must fit 15x5.5J wheel rims and
185/60R15 tires to the front axle for snow
chain or cable use:
195/60R15.
195/55R16.
Vehicles with Stability Control
We recommend that you switch the
stability control system off. See Stability
Control (page 114).

SYSTEM
monitoring system is not a substitute for
manually checking tire pressures. You
should periodically check tire pressures
using a pressure gauge. Failure to
correctly maintain tire pressures could
increase the risk of tire failure, loss of
control, vehicle rollover and personal
injury.

inflation pressure label (located on the
edge of driver door or the B-Pillar).
As a driver assistance feature, your vehicle
has a tire pressure monitoring system. A
warning lamp will illuminate when one or
more of the tires are significantly
under-inflated. If the low tire pressure
warning lamp illuminates, you should stop
your vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so,
check the tires and inflate them to the
correct pressure.
