3. Lift up the battery positive connection
point cover. For item location, refer to
the appropriate under hood overview.
See Under Hood Overview (page 150).
4. Connect the positive (+) terminal of
vehicle B with the positive (+) terminal
of vehicle A (cable 1).

5. Connect the negative (-) terminal of
vehicle B to the Jump start stud of
vehicle A (cable 2).
To Start the Engine
1. Run the engine of vehicle B at a
moderately high engine speed.
2. Start the engine of vehicle A.
3. Run both vehicles for a minimum of
three minutes before disconnecting the
cables.
4. Disconnect the cables in the reverse
order.
Note: Do not switch the headlamps on
when disconnecting the cables. The peak
voltage could blow the bulbs.

Front Towing Point
WARNING: Make sure that the
towing eye is fully tightened. Failure to
follow this instruction could result in
personal injury.
WARNING: You must switch the
ignition on when your vehicle is being
towed.

1. Gently press the towing eye
attachment point cover at the position
indicated.
2. Gently pull it straight out.
Note: The towing eye attachment point
cover has a small lanyard to keep it
attached to the bumper.
