WARNING: Be sure to remove the battery from the main body before starting repair or maintenance
work. If the switch is activated inadvertently with the battery still mounted on the main
body, the motor may turn unexpectedly and could cause serious injury.

1. Precautions on disassembly and reassembly

[Bold] numbers in the description below correspond to the item numbers in the parts list and exploded
assembly diagram for the Model C 1810DFA.
1. Removing the TCT saw blade and link
(1) Remove the Left Hex. Socket Bolt M7 [71] using the Hex. Bar Wrench 5 mm [503] (standard accessory).
(2) Remove Washer (E) [72], TCT Saw Blade [73], and Washer (D) [74] in this order.
(3) Remove Special Screw (C) M5 [94] and Special Screw M6 [87] to remove the Link [89].
(4) Remove the three Machine Screws (W/Washer) M4 x 8 (Black) [98] and remove the Lower Guard [90]
from the Gear Case [2].
(5) Remove the two Machine Screws (W/Sp. Washer) M5 x 16 [91]. Slightly tap the Gear Case [2] with a
plastic hammer to remove the Spindle Ass'y [75].
