Cruise Control

Cruise control maintains the selected speed be-
tween approx. 20 and 150 mph (30 and 240 km/
h) without the user having to press the accelerator.

A Switch adaptive cruise control on/off

3 Interrupt cruise control operation (OFF)
4 Resuming the stored speed (RESUME)
Information
Active downshifting and braking intervention are
carried out automatically to help maintain the pre-
selected speed (especially when driving downhill).
Unsafe traffic situation
WARNING
and unfavorable road
conditions
Using cruise control can lead to an accident if the
prevailing traffic situation does not allow you to
drive at a sufficient distance and constant speed.
e Do not use cruise control in heavy traffic, on
winding stretches of road or in unfavorable
conditions (e.g. wintery conditions, wet roads,
varying road surfaces).
Switching cruise control readiness
on
e Press button A on the control lever.
Cruise control readiness
The gray symbol on the instrument
cluster indicates readiness.
Maintaining and storing the speed
e Accelerate or decelerate to the desired speed
using the accelerator pedal.
e Press the control lever on the steering wheel
forward (Fig. 56) 1.
Desired speed
The current desired speed is displayed
under the red cruise control symbol,
and automatically maintained.
Changing the speed
e To increase speed, press the control lever on
the steering wheel forward(Fig. 56), 1.
Brief press = 1 mph (1 km/h), press and hold =
5 mph (10 km/h).
e To reduce speed, pull the control lever toward
the steering wheel(Fig. 56), 2.
Brief pull = 1 mph (1 km/h), pull and hold = 5
mph (10 km/h).
The new desired speed is displayed on the instru-
ment cluster.
Information
The speed can be increased using the accelerator
pedal as usual. This does not change the stored
value; it is resumed after the pedal is released.
Interrupting cruise control opera-
tion – OFF
The speed driven before the interruption remains
stored in the memory and can be resumed by
pressing the control lever.

e Press the control lever down(Fig. 56), 3
– or –
e Press the brake pedal
– or –
e Move selector lever to operating mode N.
Cruise control operation is interrupted
automatically in the following situations:
– The vehicle speed is above or below the set
speed for a certain time.
– Porsche Stability Management (PSM) is active.
Resuming the stored speed –
RESUME
e Press the control lever up(Fig. 56), 4.
Cruise control accelerates/decelerates the ve-
hicle to the stored speed.
Switching cruise control readiness
off
e Press button A on the control lever.
The memory is cleared and the readiness sym-
bol disappears.
Information
The stored speed is cleared when the ignition is
switched off.
