Water Supply Level Controller for Incubator 8000 SC/IC/NC
Intended Use
To humidify the incubator air with destilled water from water
bags. The water supply level controller can be used with
incubators of series 8000 instead of supplying aqua dest. from
infusion bottles or a water container, as in the past.
Retrofitting Incubators 8000 SC/IC/NC
Use retrofit kit 2M 21 846.
Remove water container or water bottle receptacle,
respectively.
1 Attach hook for water bag with screws to incubator hood.
2 Attach hose clip with screw above controller unit
3 Incubator 8000 IC: Provide cutout for routing water supply
tubing from chamber in the back of the unit.
Preparation
When using for the first time:
Write date with waterproof marker onto label provided.
Otherwise:
Check date on controller unit; if older than 6 months, use a
new water supply level controller.
Open hinged rear panel.
4 Firmly push controller unit onto nipple of water heater.
5 Bend controller unit emptying hose upwards and push onto
top side nipple on the controller.
Shortly Before Placing Patient in Incubator
Prepare fresh infusion set.
6 Close roller or slide clamp on tubing.
7 Screw luer lock connector of infusion kit onto connector of
controller unit.
8 Infusion tubing through hose clip.
Incubator 8000 IC: Tubing through the cutout in the back
door. Close back door. Do not pinch tubing!
9 Push spike of infusion tubing kit into injection port on water
bag. Use only originally sealed bags with pure destilled
water! Maximum bag size: 3 liters!
Do not confuse with infusion bags!
10 Hang water bag onto hook on incubator hood.
CAUTION !
Follow enclosed installation instructions.
Retrofitting by Dräger-authorized service personnel is
recommended.

WARNING !
Never hook water bag onto other holders or to an
IV-pole. Danger of accidental mixup with infusion
solutions. Never hang bags with infusion solutions
on incubator hood hook.
