INSTALLATION
1. Turn the DL8700 off before attaching it to the back mounting bracket.
2. Place the DL8700 face down on a stable surface.
3. Position the back mounting bracket on the DL8700, matching the screw holes in the
bracket to the screw holes on the back of the DL8700.
4. Insert a pan head screw into each of six holes. Torque the screws to 16±1 in/lb (1.8±.11
N/m).
Now you are ready to attach the DL8700 in the bracket assembly to the vehicle.
Step 3 - Attach DL8700 In Bracket Assembly To Bottom Mounting Bracket.
1. Insert mounting bolts (place washer first, then the lock washer) through the curved
apertures in the bottom mounting bracket and into the screw holes in the side bracket.
2. Loosely tighten each bolt as it is inserted. Important: Do not torque bolts until all
bolts are in place and viewing angle is adjusted.
3. Loosen the hex bolts on both sides to adjust the viewing angle of the mounted DL8700.
4. Torque the hex bolts to 50±5 in/lb (5.64±.56 N/m).
Test the torque on the bolts frequently during operation and re-tighten if
necessary to 50±5 in/lb (5.64±.56 N/m).
