HOW TO AIR FRY
The perforated air fryer basket allows air to circulate around foods for even cooking and
crisping, and lets excess fat drip down and away from foods for healthier eating. The
directions below are for cooking without the probe; if you would rather air fry to a specific
internal temperature, see How to Cook Using the Probe Thermometer on p. 9.
CAUTION: Never fill the basket with oil. Unlike deep fryers, air fryers require little to no oil to
produce a crisp texture. If you choose to use oil, toss foods with just a little in a separate bowl
before cooking in the air fryer.
1.
Set the unit on a hard, flat surface with at least
6 inches of clearance on the top and sides. Put
the cooking pan in the unit, and then place the
air fryer basket in the cooking pan. Ensure the
splatter shield is firmly in place and close the lid.
Plug in the unit.
2.
Prepare your food. Depending on what
you're cooking, you may wish to toss the
food with a little oil (see chart on p. 19).
3.
Press Air Fry on the control panel. The Air Fry
button will illuminate in blue, and the default
temperature of 400˚F will appear
on the panel. Press + or – on
the Temp button to adjust the
temperature from 200˚F to 400˚F
in increments of 5˚F. Press + or – on
the Time button to adjust the time
