Maintenance

Replacing components

Work on electrical components (e.g. lights, sockets) may
only be carried out by qualified personnel.

Cleaning the module

WARNING
Moisture increases the risk of electric shock.
— Do not touch electrical components (lights, plugs, etc.)
with a wet cloth or liquids.
— Switch off the power supply before cleaning.
• Wipe off upholstery fabrics with commercial cleaning agent.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe off surfaces.
• Wipe lights and monitors (optional) with a dry and antistatic
cloth. If necessary, use commercial screen cleaner.

Moving the module

The Spine module may only be moved disassembled with
tables de-mounted. The tables may only be demounted by
qualified personnel.

Functional checks

A functional test shall be carried out by the installer after assem-
bly. This shall be recorded.
• Keep the signed protocol of the functional test with the in-
structions.
• Before each height adjustment, observe the table "Functional
checks" in the operating instructions of the table.
• In addition, regularly perform the following functional checks
of the Spine module:

Storage

If the Spine module is to be temporarily stored, the following
storage conditions must be met:
• Undamaged transport packaging
• Sufficient carrying capacity of the floor.
• Dry floor.
• Horizontal storage surface.
• Temperature range +5 °C to +40 °C.

Disposal

The Spine module may only be disassembled by qualified
personnel.
• Adhere to the manufacturer's instructions when disassem-
bling. Steelcase AG makes the instructions for disassembly
available on the Internet at the following address:

• Separate the disassembled parts of the module by material
groups and dispose of according to local laws and regula-
tions.
