IP3/IP4 Lightpipe Kit Instructions

The Lightpipe improves the IrDA communication reliability and

speed between your reader and the mobile device. This kit

includes the following contents:

• IP3/IP4 Reader Lightpipe with pre-applied adhesive

• IP3/IP4 Reader Lightpipe Instructions

1 Remove the existing gold reflector tape from your Reader. It is

recommended that you use rubbing alcohol to remove any

remaining reflector tape residue. However, do not use any sol-

vent remover that will harm the Reader plastic.

2 Remove the existing IR Reflector label on your mobile device

(if applicable). Ensure all label residue is removed from that

location.
