• Plug the product into a correct mains socket of the public mains supply
only. Do not connect the product to an extension cord.
• Do not use this product in rooms that are under adverse environmen-
tal conditions where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be
present! There is a risk of explosion!
• The product is intended for use only in dry indoor locations. It may not get
wet or damp; otherwise there may be danger of electric shock!
Never touch the product with wet hands!

• Handle the product with care; it may be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental falls, even from a low height.
• Never connect the product to the wall outlet immediately after the prod-
uct has been brought from a cold room into a warm one. Condensation
that forms might destroy the product. Furthermore, there is a danger of an
electric shock. Wait until the product reaches room temperature and the

Features of the PIR Motion Detector
The PIR motion detector responds to temperature changes in the detection range,
e.g. if a person enters the detection area with a temperature different from that of the
background (for example, a wall).
The range for detecting a temperature change in the detection range depends on sev-
eral factors:
• The temperature difference between the moving object and the background (ambi-
ent)
• Size of the moving object
• The distance of the object from the motion detector
• Ambient temperature
Due to the operating principle applied, it is not possible to detect tempera-
ture changes through glass.
If the PIR motion detector is directed towards e.g. a door, window or a heat-
er, electric devices or the like, faulty activations may result.
