combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of
explosion!
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.

• The mains socket into which the power adapter is plugged must be easily ac-
cessible.
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on the
cable.
• If the wall plug transformer is damaged, discontinue use of the product.
Switch off the mains socket to which the wall plug transformer is connected
(switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse, then
switch off the earth leakage circuit breaker). Only then unplug the wall plug
transformer from the mains socket.
Replace the defective wall plug transformer with a wall plug transformer of the
same design (with the same output voltage, output current, round plug and plug
polarity) only.
• If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must
be turned off and precautions must be taken to ensure that it is not used unin-
tentionally.
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (where there is flickering
light, leaking smoke or a smell of burning, audible crackling noises, or discol-
ouration of the product or to adjacent surfaces)
- the product was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• For safety reasons, unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket
before cleaning the product or when the product is not to be used for a while

Battery instructions
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk they may be swallowed by

• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin.
You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces com-
ing into contact with these liquids could be considerably damaged. Batteries must there-
fore be stored in a suitable location.
• Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explo-
sion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
• Make sure that the battery is inserted into the IR remote control according to the correct
polarity (pay attention to positive/+ and negative/-).
Installation and start-up
a) Mounting the control unit
Before you start the installation, keep in mind that the IR receiver of the control
unit must be positioned in such a way that flawless reception of the control sig-
nals from the IR remote control is possible.
Direct optical contact between the IR LED of the IR remote control and the IR
receiver is beneficial; however, it is not a prerequisite. The IR light (invisible to the
human eye) of the IR remote control is reflected by many surfaces.
Before you proceed to the permanent mounting of the control unit and the IR
receiver, check that they function properly.
• The microphone is located behind the opening on the top of the control unit, and is used
in the corresponding operating mode to control the colours of the LED strip. The opening
must be aligned accordingly and depending on the volume of the sounds (music) used for
control.
The sensitivity of the microphone can be reduced if,for example., you put a piece of tape
over the opening.
• The control unit can be screwed down via two eyes located on the sides of the housing.
Depending on the mounting site, you can also fasten the control unit using cable ties or
double-sided adhesive tape.
When you screw the control unit into place, make sure that no cables or pipes are
damaged when drilling and tightening the screws.
• Fasten the IR receiver of the control unit to a suitable point, e.g. by using a strip of adhe-
sive tape or a cable tie.
