WARNING!
• In some cases it is not possible to identify live wires in walls accurately and you should not rely solely on the instrument to detect the
presence of dangerous live wires. Other means such as construction drawings or visual identification of cabling or pipe entry points
should also be used.
• If the wall contains live cables, do not take potentially hazardous measures. Remember to disconnect power, gas and water before
works in the wall.
• Concrete, brick and ceramic surfaces have a shielding effect on electric field signals, so when testing on these surfaces, it affects
the detection of the AC signal.
• AC signals can be more easily detected when the receiver is connected to the desired cable and switched on.
• signals from live cables will spread from both sides of the actual cable, so sometimes the alarm area „live" is much larger than the
actual cable.
• Non-voltage cables may be detected as metal objects and thin cables may not be detected.
OPERATION OF THE DETECTION FUNCTION - DETECTION OF WOODEN PROFILES:
• Maximum detection depth:
exact mode: 20 mm;
deep mode: 38 mm.
Long press key 1 to enter exact and deep scanning modes
• The foreign body detection mode detects objects made of plasterboard, plywood, solid wood and coated wood walls.
• Profile detection mode does not detect objects in concrete, mortar, bricks, carpets, foils, metal surfaces, tiles, glass and other hete-
rogeneous materials.
• The depth of sensitivity and accuracy will vary depending on moisture content, material content, wall texture and paint.
• The wood profile detection mode can also detect metals and other dense materials.
Figure 8
Press key 2 to activate the detection function and then press key 1 to enter wood profile detection mode.
Hold the instrument in place for 1-3 seconds and wait for calibration to complete before starting detection operations
(as shown in FIG 8 and FIG 9) Place the instrument on the surface and move to the left or right. When the device detects an object,
a signal strength icon will appear on the display screen and will gradually increase as you approach the profile (as shown in FIG 10).
At the same time, a beep will sound.
Continue moving the device in the same direction. When the detector is in the middle of a wooden strip, icons 1 and 3 will
be displayed (FIG 11).
When the detector leaves the centre of the object being measured, the display screen will display the interface, as shown in FIG 10.
