Before first use

1) Remove all packaging materials from the appliance .
Check whether the filter holder u and the HEPA filter z are firmly installed
in the dirt container i . They may have worked loose during transport .
To insert the filter holder u and the HEPA filter z into the dirt container i,
proceed as follows:
–
The filter holder u can only be fitted in the dirt container i in one
position . The side labelled "UP" must be facing upwards . Push the filter
holder u as far as possible into the dirt container i . Make sure that
the filter holder u is straight and that the rubber lip seals the dirt
container i .

Insert the HEPA filter z into the filter holder u so that the catches on
the HEPA filter z fit into the corresponding recesses on the filter
holder u . The arrow on the HEPA filter z must be aligned with the
arrow on the filter holder u . Turn the HEPA filter z clockwise towards

2) Place the dirt container i on the motor unit r:

First, place the contacts on the underside of the dirt container i onto
the contact pins on the underside of the motor unit r . This pushes the
two catches on the motor unit r into the recesses on the dirt container i .

Press the upper side of the dirt container i against the upper side of
the motor unit r so that the catch audibly engages . The dirt container i
is now firmly seated on the motor unit r .

Information about the batteries

■ The appliance runs on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries . Before using the
appliance for the first time, the batteries must be charged . The charge
indicator lamp w flashes red during charging . As soon as the batteries are
fully charged, the charge indicator lamp w lights up green .
■ If the charge indicator lamp w flashes alternately green and red, the battery
is almost completely discharged and the appliance switches off after approx .
1 minute . This protects the appliance from deep discharge .
