LET’S GET STARTED! RAIL NUT SLIDE HALF OF THE RAIL NUTS INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE FACTORY ROOF RAIL, AND HALF OF THEM INTO THE DRIVER SIDE RAIL. NOTE- IF YOU’RE INSTALLING A SIDE LADDER, PUT TWO EXTRA IN ON THE DRIVER SIDE. NOW, GO OVER TO YOUR SAFARI RACK, GRAB ALL OF THE RAIL FOOT MOUNTS AND START LOOSELY BOLTING THEM TO THE SAFARI RACK USING THE 3/8 BUTTON HEAD, 3/8 FLAT WASHER (X2), AND 3/8 NYLOCK... - Page 6 WE RECOMMEND MOUNTING THE TRIM RING TO THE RACK BEFORE PUTTING IT ON YOUR VAN. YOU’LL NEED TO DRILL YOUR OWN HOLES TO MOUNT IT. WE 18.25” DO THIS BECAUSE THERE IS SOME VARIANCE IN FAN PLACEMENT. YOU CAN USE BOLTS WITH NUTS, OR SELF TAPPING SCREWS, WE LEAVE THAT UP TO YOU! 25.5”...
- Page 7 THE NEXT STEP IS TO STRAP UP THE RACK AND LIFT IT UP INTO PLACE. AS PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED, IT’S BEST TO HAVE A PROFESSIONAL DO THIS. ONCE THE RACK IS IN PLACE, TIGHTEN THE FEET DOWN TO YOUR ROOF RAILS USING THE 3/8-16 HEX BOLTS AND SPLIT LOCK WASHERS. NOTE- THE FRONT FEET SIT AS FAR FORWARD ON THE ROOF RAILS AS POSSIBLE.
