Cleaning your fireplace
Refi t and Check Window
1. Hook the glass window to the fi rebox then fastten
the four bolts pushing and turning them 90 degrees.
The bolt contains a pin which must pass through a
slotted hole in the retaining tab.
bolt is properly hooked by feeling with your fi n-
gers and ensuring the pin of the bolt is hooked to
the fi replace's retaining tab.

2. Pull out the window by the sides and release it to
check that it opens slightly and returns confi rming
the good function of the spring-loaded mechanism.
3. Apply fi rm pressure around the window frame to
ensure the window is sealed tight against the fi re-
box.
4. If the Hot Glass Warning plate has been removed
from the front lower corner of the window, re-
install it by sliding it between the glass and the
frame as indicated.
5. Reinstall the barrier screen and window cover. Hook
the window frame with the screen attached to the
top of the fi rebox. Push the bottom against the fi re-
box to attach the magnets.

To ensure a safe operation:
• Double-check that the window frame is
correctly installed;
• Verify that the four bolts are hooked
properly to the window tabs then;
• Pull out the sides of the window and
release to ensure it returns to its position
and the springs are working;
• Press all around the window frame
against the firebox to ensure the window
is well sealed before operation.
WARNING
Failure to install the window correctly can:
• Leak carbon monoxide;
• Affect the performance of the fireplace;
• Damage components;
• Cause overheating resulting in dangerous
conditions.
Damages caused by incorrect window
installation is not covered by the Valor
warranty.
WARNING
For safety purposes, make sure the barrier
screen is re-installed on the stove front
after maintenance.
