11. Handling

Take note of all safety instructions contained in this operating manual as well as all other
instructions in the corresponding chapters.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet or damp. There is danger of a lethal electric
shock.
• The following unfavorable conditions are to be avoided at the place of installation or during transport:
- extreme hot and cold temperatures
- direct sunlight
- dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations
• Never cover the pressure switch.
• Do not touch the openings of the product; do not put objects in the openings.
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room condensation may form.
Leave the product until it reaches room temperature before using it. This can sometimes take several
hours.
There is the risk of a lethal electric shock (e.g. if the mains plug is damp with condensation water).
• Ensure during installation and operation not to bend, jam or damage neither the mains cord nor the
hoses.
• Check the product regularly for damages or leakages.
If you notice damages, the product must NOT be used; disconnect it immediately from the mains
voltage and take it to a specialized workshop.
• Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
- the device exhibits visible damage,
- the device does not operate any longer and
- the device was stored under unfavorable conditions for a long period of time or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• Do not pull the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling the cable Always pull the plug from the
mains socket by the gripping area provided on the side. Otherwise the power cord may get damaged,
risk of an electric shock!
• Never dismantle the pressure switch. There are no serviceable parts inside the pressure switch.
Repair or maintenance work must be carried out by a specialist.
