6. Functional description

The pressure switch is mounted at the outlet of a garden pump (pressure side) and the power cord of the garden pump
is connected to the power outlet on the rear side of the pressure switch.
Once the pressure switch is connected to the mains voltage, it activates the garden pump for approximately 15
seconds.
When a specific operation pressure preset ex factory is reached, the pressure switch turns the garden pump off.
When opening e.g. a water tap on the outlet side, the pressure drops down, whereupon the pressure switch activates
the garden pump automatically. The garden pump runs until the water tap is turned off. Thereupon, the pressure goes
up in the water pipe and the pressure switch switches the garden pump off again.
The pressure switch controls the flow rate as well. If no noteworthy water flow is recognized, the pressure switch
switches the pump off automatically in order to protect the latter from running dry.
A "RESTART" key on the pressure switch is designed for a simple restart of the pump (e.g. if the pressure switch
misjudged a dry run and switched off the water pump in order to protect it).
Several LEDs indicate the status of the pressure switch and the current function, see chapter 7.
