5. Safety Instructions

In the case of damages which are caused due to failure to observe these operating instructions,
the guarantee will expire. We neither assume liability for consequential damages!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury, caused by improper use
or the failure to observe the safety instructions. The guarantee will expire in any such case!
Dear customer, The safety instructions and danger warnings below are not only for the protection of the
device but also to protect your well being. Please read carefully through the following points:
General information
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of safety
and approval reasons (CE). Furthermore, the guarantee/warrantee would also expire in such a case.
• Only persons familiar with this operating manual might use the product.
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children! Children cannot assess the
dangers involved when dealing with electric devices.
• The product corresponds to protection class IP54.
• The device is designed according to protection class I. As a voltage source only a proper power
socket (230V~/50Hz), with a protective earth ground, of the public power supply system may be
used.
Installation, assembly
• Assemble and operate the product in a way that keeps it out of reach of children.
• The use of the product in the proximity of ponds, wells, swimming pools, springs etc. is authorized
only if the product is operated via a ground fault circuit interrupter (circuit breaker FI, <=30mA).
In Austria, it is authorized to install and operate the product in the proximity of swimming pools and
ponds only if in addition to the ground fault circuit interrupter (circuit breaker FI, <=30mA) a safety
isolating transformer controlled by the Austrian Electro-technical Association is connected in line
side.
In case of doubt, the product must be installed by a specialized electrician only!
• In the place of installation the ambient temperature must not be around or under the freezing point
(<0°C). This causes the water to freeze in the pressure switch; the higher volume of ice destroys the
pressure switch. In winter, store the product above freezing point.
• If you use an extension cable or if the laying of cables all the way to the domestic water supply is
necessary, make sure that the cables do not have a cross section smaller than the rubber hose lines
with short symbol H07RN-F according to DIN VDE0620
Use extension cables with ground fault interrupter only, which are suitable for use outdoors.
• Protect the cable from heat, oil/gasoline and sharp edges; do not step on the cable, do not drive over
it (for ex. with a garden wagon, bicycle, car).
Never bend the cables and do not place objects on them.
