Battery Replacement
The Harman Kardon remote's battery should last a year under normal usage. To replace the battery,
release the battery cover on the back of the remote control and replace the old battery with a CR2032-type
battery or equivalent.

Solution
Redock the iPod. If problem persists, reset
the iPod.
Replace battery.
Move the source unit closer to the remote.
